Media reacts to LSU's dominating first half performance against Oklahoma
Well, there’s not much to say after that first half. The LSU Tigers look unstoppable and are completely dominating Oklahoma 49-14.
Quarterback Joe Burrow has completed 21-of-27 for 406 yards and seven touchdowns. That’s already a Peach Bowl record for passing touchdowns, and he did it in the first half. Receiver Justin Jefferson has caught four of those six touchdowns.
Meanwhile, LSU’s defense has limited Jalen Hurts to just 101 passing yards and 27 rushing yards. Oklahoma’s offense has just 152 total yards compared to LSU’s 497.
Everyone around the country is talking about LSU’s dominating first half:

Reminder:
There was ZERO question that Oklahoma was the #4 team in the CFB Playoff rankings.

Since the Peach Bowl is over, I suggest a channel change to the end of Louisville-Kentucky hoops, which is heading to the wire.

An #LSU staff member this week called Oklahoma the fifth best team the Tigers have faced this season – behind Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Georgia.
Things are materializing as such.

I have a ton of respect for the Oklahoma football program, but the gulf between these two teams is staggering.

Justin Jefferson is who we thought he was!!! He’s a BAAAAAD MANNNN. Gonna be hard for @LSUfootball not to score 70. On pace currently to score 100!

The worst defeat in Lincoln Riley's three seasons as the head coach at OU is by only 11 points.. #LSU now leads 35-7 and has outgained the Sooners, 361-91. Mercy.
