LSU OL Will Campbell is being recognized as the National Player of the Week by the Outland Trophy. Campbell helped LSU put up 34 points in the Week 4 win over UCLA.

For the first time this season, Campbell graded over 80 in both his pass- and run-blocking. He posted 90.1 pass blocking grade, and LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier was highly productive working from a clean pocket. Nussemeier was 32-of-44 passing, logging 352 yards and 3 touchdowns without an interception. Campbell did not allow any pressures on the 44 pass attempts.

The LSU offense managed 454 yards of total offense in the 34-17 win. Three Tiger ball-carriers posted 102 rushing yards on 25 carries. Josh Williams led the way with 13 rushes for 62 yards and 1 touchdowns, LSU’s only score on the ground.

Campbell, a 6-6, 320-pound junior, earned preseason All-SEC and preseason All-America recognition entering the 2024 campaign. He was also selected by his LSU teammates to wear the No. 7 jersey alongside defensive standout Harold Perkins. Since rules prevent offensive linemen from wearing jersey numbers as low as 7, Campbell sports a No. 7 patch on his No. 66 jersey.

Campbell and the Tigers are 3-1 on the year after dropping the season-opener to USC in Las Vegas. LSU wraps up its nonconference slate with a home contest against South Alabama on Saturday. The Week 5 game is set for 7:45 p.m. ET, airing on the SEC Network.
