Clemson is entering next season with extremely high expectations after winning the ACC in 2024. The Tigers return starting quarterback Cade Klubnik as well as numerous other key players on both sides of the ball. Dabo Swinney also made an aggressive move in hiring Tom Allen to be Clemson’s defensive coordinator for the 2025 campaign.
Clemson has also dipped into the transfer portal for the first time under Swinney. The class has just 3 players for now, but it’s led by former Purdue edge rusher Will Heldt who was pursued by several top programs before signing with Clemson.
LSU endured a difficult 2024 season. The Tigers are now set to enter Year 3 of the Brian Kelly era. LSU has yet to lose fewer than 3 games in a season with Kelly at the helm, leading some to say he’s on the hot seat entering 2025. LSU does return plenty of talent next fall, including quarterback Garrett Nussmeier.
LSU is 3-1 all-time against Clemson.
