LSU has a lot of different rivals, but it sounds like Tigers quarterback Joe Burrow may dislike Florida the most.

“Everyone says LSU has a lot of different rivals,” Burrow said according to LSU Rivals. “We have a trophy (the Golden Boot) with Arkansas, Florida is a rival, Ole Miss is supposedly a rival, Alabama … this (Florida) is supposedly the biggest one.

“I don’t like them very much. I know they don’t like us very much … they beat us pretty good last year.”

Burrow and the Tigers suffered their first loss of the season last year against Florida, falling 27-19 in The Swamp. The Gators posted five sacks and eight quarterback hurries on Burrow in the Florida win.

LSU had the ball on the final possession looking to drive down the field for the game-tying touchdown, but because of that pass rush and several key drops from Tigers wide receivers, LSU’s last drive stalled near midfield.

This year, though, the LSU offensive line has allowed just nine sacks in five games. It will be interesting to see how they handle the Florida defensive front they struggled against last year.

These two rivals have alternated wins in the series the last four years. Florida owns a 33-29-3 edge in the all-time series.
