While LSU is on spring break this week, QB Lowell Narcisse found a low key way to get his break started.

The Louisiana native made a trip an hour south of his hometown of St. James, Louisiana, to visit a friend who is going through a very tough battle.

Alaina Maiorana, an 18-year-old battling non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, received a visit from her friend Narcisse. According to HoumaToday.com, Narcisse said he enjoyed being able to brighten Maiorana’s spirits:

“I’ve always said that some things are bigger than football,” Narcisse said. “It’s an opportunity to show support and make an impact on people’s lives. I’m fortunate to have the things that I’m able to so it’s a blessing for me to be able to come down here and keep her in good spirits.”

Maiorana enjoyed the visit, saying she appreciates Narcisse taking time out of his schedule to visit her:

“I think it’s really awesome to have an LSU football player in my house sharing his story with me,” Maiorana said. “It’s great to see that he took time out of his day to do it. It’s really inspiring and it makes me feel great.”

It’s always great to see football players giving back to their community. Perhaps the Tigers will have Maiorana come to Baton Rouge for a game this year.
