LSU RB Derrius Guice makes friendly bet with pair of Big Ten running backs
If Derrius Guice puts up the kind of numbers many expecting from him this season as LSU’s primary ball-carrier, he might have a free meal of his choice in his future.
Guice, Ohio State RB Mike Weber and Penn State RB Saquon Barkley appear to be engaging in friendly wager that the running back with the lowest rushing total of the three has to buy the other two dinner.

Guice appears to be in, but wants it to include touchdowns:

Based on last year’s numbers, Barkley would have been the winner for most yards and most rushing touchdowns:
- Barkley (14 games, 272 carries, 1,496 yards, 18 TD)
- Guice (12 games, 183 carries, 1,387 yards, 15 TD)
- Weber (13 games, 182 carries, 1,096 yards, 9 TD)
Guice, however, played in the fewest games (12) and had the highest average yards per carry (7.58) and yards per game (115.58) of the three, all while splitting carries with the No. 4 overall draft pick, Leonard Fournette (when healthy).
If Guice stays healthy in 2017, there should be a free meal in his future.
