That didn’t take long. Just days after earning a scholarship offer from LSU, Louisiana native AJ Carter has backed off his commitment to UCLA and flipped his pledge to the Tigers.

The 6-foot, 220-pound Carter is rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 31 running back in the nation and the No. 27 overall recruit from the state of Louisiana. He currently holds scholarship offers from Arkansas, Mississippi State, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Arizona State and UCLA among others.

News of Carter’s LSU commitment was first reported by Sam Spiegelman‏ of SEC Country. Carter confirmed the news of his UCLA decommitment with the following message.

Carter rushed for over 2,000 yards as a junior last season and scored 35 rushing touchdowns. To get an idea of how well he could fit into Matt Canada’s offense starting in 2018, check out his latest high school highlight reel.
