LSU secures commitment from 2020 4-star DT prospect CamRon Jackson
LSU made big strides with its incoming recruiting class on the first day of the Early Signing Period, but the Tigers also landed a key player for their 2020 class Wednesday.
Highly rated defensive tackle prospect CamRon Jackson committed to LSU late Wednesday night, perhaps to let the 2019 recruits have their moment during the day’s fanfare. The 6-foot-5, 271-pounder from Haynesville, Louisiana, made the announcement on Twitter.

247Sports.com’s composite ratings consider Jackson as a 4-star recruit, the No. 13 player from Louisiana and the No. 24 defensive tackle in the Class of 2020. He’s also slotted as the No. 269 overall player among his peers, according to the ratings.
Jackson becomes the eighth member of the Tigers’ 2020 class, which currently features only 4-star prospects. That’s good enough to give LSU the second-best class nationally, which is no surprise considering how strongly the program has been able to recruit this year’s crop of prospects.
