LSU’s wide receiver position has seen plenty of volatility, but there’s another addition to the transfer portal as Alex Adams became the fourth pass catcher to enter the portal.

Shea Dixon of Geaux247 reported that that leaves the Tigers down to 8 scholarship wide receivers, including recent signee Landon Ibieta. The second-year player out of Mississippi is likely headed elsewhere to finish out his collegiate career. Adams is from Osyka, Mississippi (South Pike).

Adams appeared in 7 games this past season with one catch for 5 yards. Last year, he appeared in 3 games during his freshman season, and caught a pass for 6 yards against Vanderbilt.

Adams left high school as a 3-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite, and as he was rated the No. 8 player in the state of Mississippi.

Adams is the latest entry into the portal, a list that includes 3 other wide receivers in Koy Moore, Deion Smith and Trey Palmer. Palmer has since committed to Nebraska.
