LSU sells school-record number of season tickets for 2014
Expansion.
It’s been the buzz word in college football recently. Conferences have been expanding; programs have been expanding their stadiums, and Saturday Down South has been expanding its SEC coverage.
LSU announced that it has sold a school-record 74,350 season tickets this year.
Of course, much of this has to do with Tiger Stadium’s expanded capacity of 102,321, and with the addition of approximately 6,000 more season tickets, it helped set the school record.
Next on the agenda is selling out individual games, and Alabama is the only home game that is sold out at this point. Other programs returned several of the allotted 7,000 tickets.
