The LSU Tigers are gearing up for a much-anticipated matchup against Alabama in Week 11. The No. 14 Tigers are playing host to the No. 11 Tide as both teams seek to avoid their 3rd loss of the season.
Unfortunately for the Tigers, the team will be without a key offensive starter. Left guard Garrett Dellinger will miss the Alabama game, per Brian Kelly. The guard had tightrope surgery during LSU’s bye in Week 10.

The coach added that the team is hopeful Dellinger can return against Florida in Week 11.

With Dellinger on the mend, the Tigers will turn to redshirt freshman Paul Mubenga. Mubenga has gotten action in 5 games this season, and Kelly expressed confidence in the youngster, calling Mubenga a “key backup.”

“He’s made his most progress through execution,” explained Kelly. “He’s a quick study. You don’t have to tell him twice. He understands our scheme.”

The LSU offensive line has been phenomenal in 2024. The unit has allowed just 4 sacks this season, which is tied for the 2nd-fewest in the country.
The Tigers and Tide will kick off from Tiger Stadium on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
