LSU is gearing up to kick off its 2021 season opener against UCLA in the Rose Bowl on Saturday night.
However, according to a report that broke right before kickoff, the Tigers will be without a pair of key offensive players.
Per The Advocate’s Wilson Alexander, RB John Emery Jr. and WR Jontre Kirklin are going to miss the game:
Running back John Emery Jr. and wide receiver Jontre Kirklin are out for LSU.

Emery was supposed to figure heavily into the Tigers’ running back rotation, while Kirklin was expected to be a contributor at receiver.
Now, the question becomes — will they be ready for Week 2? Or, will these be extended absences for each player?
