LSU women's basketball season opener from Las Vegas to be featured on national broadcast
LSU women’s basketball will open its campaign to repeat as NCAA Tournament champions in the national spotlight.
Warner Bros. and the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced Tuesday that LSU’s season-opening clash against Colorado in Las Vegas will be broadcast on TNT.

The Tigers won their first national championship in 2023, taking down Iowa in the tournament final. LSU’s win made Kim Mulkey the first women’s basketball head coach to win national championships at multiple schools. Mulkey also won titles at Baylor in 2005, 2012 and 2019.
Angel Reese headlines a group of key contributors back for the 2023-24 campaign. A first-team All-American, Reese led the SEC in recording and rebounding, averaging 23 points and 15.4 rebounds per game. After leading LSU to the title, Reese won the ESPY Award for Best Breakthrough College Athlete and was named the BET Sportswoman of the Year. She landed on both the TIME Next100 and Glamour’s College Women of the Year lists.
LSU is set to play exhibition games on Oct. 26 against East Texas Baptist and Loyola on Nov. 1. The Colorado game is set for 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
