Malik Nabers got used to winning a lot at LSU, so the rookie wide receiver hasn’t taken well to losing a lot during his rookie season with the New York Giants.

Nabers spoke to the media on Tuesday for the first time since his controversial comments made in Sunday’s aftermath of the Giants’ latest disaster. New York lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 30-7, at home to fall to 2-9, firmly entrenched in last place in the NFC East. Afterwards, Nabers gave a NSFW response, saying the Giants were “soft as f–.”

Giants head coach Brian Daboll said on Monday that he spoke with Nabers about the comments and that he would keep their conversation private.

On Tuesday, Nabers was asked if he had to earn the clout to say things like he said after Sunday’s game. Nabers was as bold with his answer as he was on Sunday.

“I’m not gonna just sit back just because I’m a younger guy and just not speak on how I feel. They want me to speak up,” said Nabers.

There was no going back for Nabers, who clearly misses the winning that he experienced at LSU and is frustrated that it’s not happening in his rookie season in the NFL.

“If I had an opportunity to go back and change the words that I said, I would. I still stand on what I said. I said it. I don’t have no regrets with what I said,” added Nabers.

Nabers’ next shot at victory will come on Thanksgiving Day, when the Giants head to Dallas to face the NFC East rival Cowboys in a 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff on FOX.
