Malik Nabers had an exceptional rookie season for the New York Giants.
The LSU product finished behind only former teammate Brian Thomas Jr. in receiving yards among rookies, with 1,204 yards, 109 catches, and 7 touchdowns. Nabers led the Giants in every receiving category, even as the quarterback play was unstable and the team finished with a lowly 3-14 record.
Now, Nabers will officially be a Pro Bowler after the incredible season. The rookie is taking the spot of injured Detroit Lion Amon-Ra St. Brown. Nabers also earned a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team.
Of course, LSU fans are accustomed to seeing Nabers perform well.
Nabers was in Baton Rouge from 2021-23. He caught 189 passes for 3,003 yards and 21 TDs in 38 games as a Tiger. Nabers was a unanimous All-American selection in 2023 and also earned a spot on the First-team All-SEC team. The WR caught 89 passes for 1,569 yards and 14 TDs in his final collegiate season.
After a productive college career, Nabers was selected by the New York Giants with the 6th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. was the only WR to be selected before Nabers.
Nabers is the 1st Giants’ WR since Odell Beckham Jr. in 2016 to make the Pro Bowl. The only Giant to receive a Pro Bowl selection this year is defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence II.
