Malik Nabers reveals plans for LSU's bowl game
Malik Nabers had another outstanding effort on Saturday as LSU came from behind to beat Texas A&M, 42-30. Nabers recorded 6 catches for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns to help lead his Tigers to victory.
LSU improved to 9-3 on the season with that victory and will have a chance at win No. 10 in the bowl game. The Tigers won’t be heading to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game this year.
So is Nabers off to prepare for the NFL Draft, where he’ll likely be a first-round pick this coming April? To quote Lee Corso … not so fast, my friend!
Nabers cleared the air immediately after the game on Saturday, saying he’s playing in the bowl game to try to best Josh Reed’s all-time LSU receiving record:
22 yards short at this point

All Nabers needs is 23 yards to become LSU’s all-time leading receiver. He’s recorded at least 67 receiving yards in every game this year and has gone over 100 yards in 9 of 12 games.
He should be able to grab the record in the first quarter of whatever bowl game LSU ends up in. Then we’ll see if he stays in the game to pad his record or if he takes a seat to preserve his health ahead of the NFL Draft.
