Most regard LSU’s hire of offensive coordinator Matt Canada as a home run. Landing one of the nation’s innovative offensive minds is something the Tigers desperately needed years ago under former head coach Les Miles but never did. Now with Miles out of a job after being fired by LSU, Ed Orgeron worked quickly to avoid making the same mistake in his first season as the team’s full-time head coach.

Now in its first spring under Canada, the offense is currently undergoing a crash course on how to run his system. In the video below, the team’s new offensive coordinator showcases his excitement and passion he has toward coaching the game of football.

Soon after spring practice began, last year’s starting quarterback Danny Etling recently stated just how much better he expects to be this upcoming season as a result of being coached by Canada. If the rest of the offense follows suit, LSU could finally have a dynamic offense to match one of the league’s best defenses in Baton Rouge.
