LSU head coach Les Miles met with the media Tuesday to discuss the team’s recent scrimmage and dropped the news of Leonard Fournette spraining his ankle.
“We had a little scrimmage today, back end of the day… (Fournette) got a little nicked up. Slight sprain, he’s in a boot. So the healing in ongoing,” Miles said to begin his press conference.
Fournette hurt ankle this am in scrimmage. As being tackled, someone fell on him, Miles said.

Following the Tigers’ Monday scrimmage, Miles said Fournette is now wearing a boot, however Miles described the injury as ‘slight’ and not serious. The junior running back carried the ball only twice during the scrimmage.
Les doesn't know when Leonard Fournette will return to practice.
"I know it's not, in his words…. he'll be fine." #LSU

It’s safe to say Fournette has probably seen the last bit of contact he’s going to receive during LSU’s fall camp following this news.
