Freshman quarterback Myles Brennan was among at least 15 signees who reported to LSU’s campus in Baton Rouge on Friday. The Tigers’ 2017 class was ranked third among SEC teams, according to the 247Sports Composite, and Brennan, a 4-star prospect, is a well-known member.

As LSU looks for its quarterback of the future, Brennan should get a chance to compete and impress. To do that, however, he’s going to need to add some weight in order to survive the rigors of the SEC.

At the end of his senior season, Brennan reportedly weighed just north of 175 pounds. Now, he’s up to 188 pounds and hopes to be pushing 200 by the start of preseason camp. According to a report by The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger, Brennan has a unique diet plan to make that happen.

“Coach Canada started joking around with me and telling me to set an alarm for 1:30 every morning to get up and eat, but now I usually stay up until 1:30 and eat all the way until that point and then lay down,” Brennan said.

According to the report, Brennan’s mom revealed her son recently ate a steak and two whole potatoes at 12:30 a.m. Hopefully, LSU has a couple of late-night dining halls available.

It’s safe to say that if Brennan keeps up this diet plan, he will reach his goal weight in no time.
