The LSU Tigers suspended coach Will Wade during the SEC Tournament and NCAA Tournament this year after he was allegedly caught on tape discussing payments for players.

A recent federal court trial also didn’t do Wade any favors, even though he has since been reinstated by the LSU administration.

After the reinstatement, LSU hired a new AD in former Texas A&M AD Scott Woodward. On Monday, Woodward went on a local radio show and reiterated that Wade was still the coach and would be until something changed:

With all the evidence that came out in court over the past couple of weeks, Wade’s status at LSU is a bit surprising.

However, it also seems that schools have learned not to cooperate with the NCAA, so we’ll see where things go from here in Baton Rouge.
