Joe Judge sure does love him some SEC coaches.

If you were unaware, the New York Giants have the most SEC-friendly coaching staff in the NFL. Just look at some of the names on Judge’s Giant staff.

Former Alabama running backs coach Burton Burns holds the same position in New York, former Tennessee head coach Derek Dooley is the tight ends coach, former Alabama quarterback Freddie Kitchens is an offensive analyst, former Georgia and Tennessee linebacker coach Kevin Sherrer holds the same position for the Giants and former Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt is a defensive analyst for the franchise.

On top of all that, Judge went to Mississippi State and previously coached at Alabama under Nick Saban. Last season, Judge had former Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema on his staff.

Now we can add another SEC connection in New York as LSU senior offensive analyst Russ Callaway is joining the Giants. This news was first reported by Matt Zenitz of AL.com.

Callaway joined the LSU coaching staff in February of 2020 after previously serving as offensive coordinator at Samford University. Callaway also has experience coaching at Alabama under Nick Saban.
