It’s been a rough year for former LSU WR Odell Beckham Jr.

The New York Giants star only caught three passes for 23 yards in a Monday night loss to the Minnesota Vikings and was seen frequently jawing with Minnesota CB Xavier Rhodes.

Beckham was flagged for taunting after Rhodes hit him late out of bounds in the second quarter, prompting the ex-Tiger’s tirade.

After the game, Beckham told ESPN he’s losing his passion for the game of football due to the recent struggles and media attention focused on him:

“Football is my sanctuary,” Beckham told Marks. “It’s where I go to escape. It’s where I’m most happy. I’m not having fun anymore.”

Beckham continued to express his frustrations, telling the reporter that he wants a bigger say in what the offense is doing:

“What I’m communicating, we’re not doing,” he said. “I’m not getting the opportunities to contribute, and that’s frustrating to me.”

The road won’t get any easier for the Giants and Beckham this weekend, when New York travels to Green Bay for another primetime matchup against the Packers on Sunday night.
