LSU offensive lineman Andy Dodd did more than just finish up spring practice at Tiger Stadium over the weekend.

He also got engaged on the playing surface.

The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger tweeted out a screenshot of the details on Sunday evening:

Based on all the congratulatory messages from the couple’s friends, it appears as though Dellenger is right with his assumption.

Now in his fourth year with the program, Dodd finished up his most active spring practice with the Tigers.

He earned much of the practice time at center with Ethan Pocic missing the entire spring due to recovery from hip surgery.

LSU beat writer Jim Kleinpeter recently wrote a feature story on Dodd’s quest for playing time, which included knocking 15 pounds off his playing weight since last season.

He checked in this spring at 6-4 and 319 pounds.

“Spring is the time you get to work on the little things that you have to work on,” Dodd said. “Being an offensive lineman, it’s something that’s not natural, you have to actually work and make yourself do what you actually have to do correctly on the field.

“I had a problem with my weight. I got my weight down and that made everything a lot easier. I got stronger int he weight room which is something I needed to work on.”

Best of luck to the young couple.
