Omar Speights appears to be headed to the SEC to continue his career.

The All-Pac 12 linebacker from Oregon State has signed with LSU, according to multiple reports.

Speights has played in 45 games over 4 seasons with the Beavers. The NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver for the 2020 season allows him to be a fifth-year “super senior” in 2023. Speights has been consistently productive throughout his college football career.

In 2019, as a freshman, Speights played in 12 games, recording 73 tackles (7.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks), along with 3 passes defended (1 interception). He followed that up with 63 total tackles (4.5 TFLs) in 7 appearances over the abbreviated 2020 season.

Speights posted his career-high in total tackles (89) in 2021 when he had 5 TFLs (0.5 sacks) to go with 2 interceptions. This past season, Speights played in all 13 games for OSU, recording 83 tackles (8 TFLs).
