Paul Finebaum believes Brian Kelly will change his message after a tough loss at Ole Miss

This loss gave LSU its second loss of the season and its first in SEC play. This loss essentially knocks them out of contention for the College Football Playoff.

On Sunday, Finebaum went on The Matt Barrie Show to talk about the state of the SEC after Week 5. He didn’t hold back on Kelly after the loss.

“Brian Kelly is now going to start talking a lot about winning the West. That’s all coaches talk about anyway while the media talks about the playoffs, but you’re going to hear him say ‘We’re going to do what we did last year to get to Atlanta,'” Finebaum said. “But his path is very tricky and the criticism of him is going to rain down because with the defensive pieces that he has, it’s hard to believe the amount the yards they gave up.”

LSU’s defense gave up 706 total yards to Ole Miss with 317 coming from the rushing game. It also gave up 32 first downs.
