HOOVER, Ala. — If you see SEC Network anchor Peter Burns on television, it’s easy to assume that he’s a classically trained journalist.

However, the fact of the matter is that he took quite a circuitous route to the position he has now, one that included a handful of missteps along the way. Burns has been incredibly open and honest about his journey to Charlotte.

Burns was kind enough to spend some with with us last week at the Wynfrey Hotel to talk about what it’s like to pinch hit on the increasingly popular Paul Finebaum Show. Has that incredibly loyal listenership accepted him yet? Additionally, we discussed LSU — he’s a native of Baton Rouge — and what makes a Saturday night at Tiger Stadium so special.
