The New York Jets are having a rough training camp so far, particularly in the secondary, where the injury bug has bitten them hard.
Trumaine Johnson and Kyron Brown are both battling injuries, and may not be ready for Week 1.
Those injury concerns prompted Pro Bowl S Jamal Adams to make a bold declaration. Per ESPN, Adams said he’ll move to corner if need be:
“If they need me to go to corner, I’ll go to corner,” he said Monday. “I’m dead serious.”
Of course, if the former LSU star moves to corner, it opens up a weakness at safety. Still, it’s nice that Adams is willing to do whatever he can to help the team.
It probably won’t come to Adams having to make a move, but he certainly has the talent and athleticism to succeed anywhere on the field.
