LSU won the national championship last year, going 15-0 and dominating nearly every opponent it played.

This year, the Tigers are rebuilding. Things have not gone well as the Tigers have struggled their way to a 3-4 record.

On Saturday’s College GameDay, live from Conway, South Carolina, ahead of the BYU-Coastal Carolina game, host Rece Davis playfully jabbed LSU ahead of its showdown with Alabama while mentioning ticket prices for the matchup between the Cougars and Chanticleers (via 247Sports):

“You know I mentioned that tickets are going for $500 for Coastal Carolina and BYU? About a 20-spot will get you into Tiger Stadium for (tonight’s game),” Davis said, invoking laughter from the GameDay crew. “Alabama is almost a 30-point favorite in that game. That might be the $100 question about that coming up.”

Indeed, Saturday night’s game in Baton Rouge looks like it will be a blowout in favor of Alabama. However, crazy things have happened in this rivalry.

The games aren’t played on paper, so we’ll see what happens in Death Valley on Saturday night.
