Report: 2 LSU players withdraw names from 2019 NBA Draft, will return to school
The LSU Tigers already got some good news when it was revealed that talented G Javonte Smart was returning to LSU for his sophomore season.
Now, it appears the good news continues for coach Will Wade and his staff, as it was reported that two more players were withdrawing from the draft.
As you can see below, Jon Rothstein reported on Monday night that Marlon Taylor and Skylar Mays are both expected to return to LSU next season:

Taylor averaged 6.7 points and 3.6 rebounds while starting 24 of 35 games last season. Mays started all 35 games, averaging 13.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.9 steals per game.
Both of them will be expected to take on bigger roles this season, so it’ll be interesting to see how the 2019-20 Tigers look when they take the court this fall.
It’s going to be hilarious when this school gets hammered with sanctions.
The ncaa will need to start an actual investigation first.
Common sense says the NCAA could bring the hammer down with minimal effort tomorrow, as the FBI has already done 99% of the investigation. However, we’re talking about today’s NCAA. The same people that hammered Missouri for small fries and gave UNC a free pass for obvious academic fraud. The same group that will approve transfer waivers because of playing time and deny waivers for family medical issues.
Not to mention the NCAA isn’t going to get any help from the FBI. It’s not like the FBI is going to hand over anything to the NCAA. Things would be different if Wade was called to testify, but he wasn’t.
NCAA ain’t going after blue bloods. They have bigger fish to fry like Ole Miss and Missouri.
Is LSU basketball a blue blood? They’ve had some great players over the years, but they aren’t really a perennial power.
We definitely aren’t a basketball power by any means.
They’re not a basketball power, but don’t think an NCAA basketball investigation wouldn’t spill over into the football program. Same reason the Clemson assistant coach is on tape talking to an FBI agent about how good the Clemson football program is at cheating. The NCAA isn’t going to do anything to harm its blue bloods. Wonder why North Carolina football got off free? Easy, can’t risk hurting the basketball program.
