Orgeron had previously served as USC’s interim coach following Lane Kiffin’s termination in 2013. He led the Trojans to a 6-2 (6-1 Pac-12) record in eight games.
The Louisiana native also served as Ole Miss’ coach from 2005-07. Orgeron led the Rebels to a 10-25 (3-21 SEC) record during that span.
His SEC experience also includes one season as Tennessee’s assistant head coach, defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator in 2009.
