FootballScoop.com has learned that ESPN is actively pursuing former LSU coach Les Miles for a potential role with the mega-network should he decide to take a year off from coaching.

Sources tell FootballScoop, ESPN is very interested in having Les join the network should Les decide none of the coaching openings are the right fit for him. It is our hope the decision makers at the worldwide leader recognize the potential for a daily show. #MakeESPNGreatAgain

Miles, who was fired from LSU back in September, has been tied to multiple head coaching vacancies, including Purdue, Baylor, and Houston. However, with all three having filled their open positions, his options are beginning to run thin.

Taking 2017 to work with ESPN and wait for a better fit wouldn’t be an awful idea at this point, and Miles’ quirky analysis would definitely be good for ratings.
