Prior to the 2017-18 season, LSU C Elbert Robinson decided to step away from the team due to medical reasons.
After appearing in 56 games over the previous three seasons, Robinson sat out the whole year, finishing up his degree at LSU.
Now, he’s transferring for the final year of his college basketball career. According to reporter Ed Miller, Robinson will play for Old Dominion as a graduate transfer this year:
LSU grad transfer Elbert Robinson has committed to @ODUMBB , per source. Story to come. Robinson is a 7-1 C who was a former top 100 player.

As a grad transfer, Robinson will be able to play right away for the Monarchs, who play in Conference USA.
In his 56 games at LSU, Robinson averaged 1.9 points and 1.7 rebounds in 7.5 minutes per game.
