The Kansas Jayhawks have been talking with former LSU coach Les Miles since announcing that current head coach David Beaty would be fired at the end of the regular season.

Now, it appears Miles has officially landed the job, according to a report from Sports Illustrated’s Ross Dellenger.

Per Dellenger, an announcement is expected to be made on Sunday, and Miles is on his way to Lawrence now:

Miles led the Tigers to the 2007 national championship, going 114-34 during his 11-plus seasons in Baton Rouge.

The Kansas program is a mess right now, though, so Miles will have his work cut out for him. Can the Mad Hatter turn the Jayhawks around?
