Minnesota fired coach Tracy Claeys on Tuesday, much to the displeasure of players and former coach Jerry Kill.

Now, it’s being reported that former LSU coach Les Miles could take over the unhappy Gopher squad.

According to 120Sports, Miles flew to Minneapolis on Wednesday to meet with school officials about the head coaching vacancy:

College openings have almost all been filled at this point, so if Miles is going to be on the sidelines next year, this may be his last shot.

There’s sure to be plenty of interest in the Big Ten school’s opening, so it remains to be seen if Miles emerges as a favorite to land the position.
