Report: LSU, ESPN not happy with ‘Coach O impressions’ segment during BYU game

LSU coach Ed Orgeron is a proud Cajun, and due to his heritage, has one of the most unique and fun accents in all of sports.
During the Tigers’ Week 1 win over BYU, a segment aired in which coaches like Clemson’s Dabo Swinney and Baylor’s Matt Rhule did their best impressions of Coach O.
Now, though, that segment is drawing some negative attention, as LSU and ESPN are both reportedly disappointed that the bit was aired:
#LSU was not happy with the Coach O impression bit last weekend during TV broadcast. Higher ups at ESPN were "appalled" also I'm told.

Coach O was asked about the segment during his Wednesday press conference and brushed it aside, saying he was simply proud of his heritage:
When asked about it last night. Coach O replied " I'm proud to be a Cajun"

Whether the network will issue an apology to Coach O remains to be seen, but it appears no more segments poking fun at the Cajun coach will be produced moving forward.
