LSU’s secondary may be without a senior starter in the coming weeks, as news broke that S Rickey Jefferson may miss significant time.

On Thursday morning, The Advocate reported that Jefferson suffered a major leg injury at practice on Wednesday.

Jefferson has one interception and 23 tackles for the Tigers this season. He will likely be replaced this weekend by junior John Battle.

According to The Advocate, interim coach Ed Orgeron will speak with the media about the injury after Thursday’s practice.
