Jeremy Hill’s bid to rejuvenate his career in New England has been cut short.
The former LSU running back suffered a torn ACL in the Patriots season opener against the Texans on Sunday, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Hill, who spent his first four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, signed a one-year deal with New England this offseason. He earned his way onto the roster with a strong preseason and factored into the game plan early in Week 1 before being taken off the field with the injury.
Hill is the second former LSU running back to see his season ended due to a knee injury this year. Rookie Derrius Guice tore his ACL in his first preseason game for the Washington Redskins.
