After former LSU left tackle La’el Collins met with police on Monday morning in regards to an investigation into the murder of Brittney Mills, it appears NFL interest in Collins is picking back up. The player who as recently as a week ago was touted as a potential first round pick met with Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan on Monday night, according to a report from local news station WBRZ.

Per the report, Ryan and Collins went to dinner together after the Bills coach arrived in Baton Rouge, La. and were slated to spend about two hours together.

Collins is not a suspect in Mills’ murder, which the Baton Rouge Police Department over the last week. However, due to Collins’ potential involvement in the case, all 32 NFL teams passed on him in last weekend’s draft. Collins’ agent initially tried to pull the player from the draft, which the NFL disallowed. Collins will not be allowed to re-enter next year’s NFL draft.
