Washington rookie RB Derrius Guice suffers torn ACL
Devastating news to share from Washington as Derrius Guice has reportedly suffered a torn ACL. If that information is accurate, his first NFL season is over after just six carries.
This news comes just hours after Ian Rapoport reported that Guice was believed to have suffered a sprained MCL.
Following his NFL debut on Thursday night, which featured a few solid runs and looked to be the beginning of a great rookie season ahead, ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Rapoport are both now reporting that Guice has torn his ACL.

During his three years in Baton Rouge, Guice racked up an incredible 3,074 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns on the ground. Those numbers came despite the fact Guice had to split time with Leonard Fournette for two seasons with the Tigers.
Following his terrific collegiate career, Guice was selected with the 59th overall selection in the 2018 NFL Draft.
UPDATE: The team has since officially announced the news of Guice’s injury.
RB Derrius Guice and TE Manasseh Garner will miss the 2018 season due to ACL injuries sustained from last night's preseason game at the New England Patriots. Both players are expected to make a full recovery and are looking forward to playing in 2019.
