Former LSU WR Russell Shepard has a new NFL home.

The New York Giants signed Shepard Tuesday to a one-year deal worth $1.3 million that could expand to $2 million with incentives, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The former undrafted free agent has now played for three different NFL teams. Shepard originally signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers out of LSU, and he was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster rather quickly. Shepard spent four years in Tampa before signing a three-year deal with the Carolina Panthers in March 2017. However, Carolina released Shepard this past May.

In five career NFL seasons, Shepard has recorded 47 catches for 634 yards and four TDs.

Shepard entered LSU as a 5-star QB before being moved to WR. Although he was a serviceable player at LSU, he never really did reach his potential. He recorded 716 rushing yards and 570 receiving yards in four career seasons in Baton Rouge.
