Sevyn Banks suffered a serious injury on the kickoff of the LSU-Auburn game, and the LSU defensive back was carted off the field on a play in which he was flagged for a personal foul.

Banks went down immediately and was motionless on the ground before medical personnel reached him. Banks can move his extremities, per the ESPN broadcast.

Banks was taken to the East Alabama Medical Center for further evaluations.

While Banks is new to LSU, he has plenty of experience from his time at Ohio State. He’s a graduate transfer and started at cornerback in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game against Alabama in 2020. He was a two-year starter at cornerback for the Buckeyes.

Overall, Banks appeared in 36 games at Ohio State with 14 starts and 43 career tackles and a pair of interceptions.
