LSU has offered the son of former Alabama and Florida OC Doug Nussmeier.
Nussmeier’s son, Garrett, tweeted the offer this week, and he’s a rising high school sophomore. The class of 2021 prospect is listed at 6-feet, 165 pounds from Flower Mound, Texas.
He camped at LSU earlier this month.
Nussmeier’s father is the current TEs coach for the Dallas Cowboys after spending the 2017 season at Florida. Nussmeier coached under Nick Saban at Alabama from 2012-13 and coached under Jim McElwain at Florida from 2015-17. He served as the OC and QB coach for both programs.
No doubt his son is getting the proper coaching and development in high school, and it’ll be interesting to watch his career unfold.
