Tape in federal court case has ex-Arizona assistant detailing what Will Wade allegedly did to land Naz Reid
LSU recently reinstated coach Will Wade after suspending him for the SEC and NCAA Tournaments amid an FBI probe into college basketball.
The case is now being heard in federal court, and on Monday, there was some evidence presented that doesn’t look good for Wade.
Per Yahoo’s Dan Wetzel, ex-Arizona assistant Book Richardson was recorded detailing a conversation between him and Wade discussing what it would take to get star big man Naz Reid to LSU:
Also on tape, Richardson says LSU coach Will Wade offered him a job to help with recruitment of Naz Reid. Per Richardson, Wade said, “look, there’s a deal in place. I got $300,000 for him.” Richardson, “I said, give me half and I’ll make sure the kid goes there.”

If you’re wondering what this means for Wade, who knows? He was also allegedly caught on tape discussing an offer for Javonte Smart, but nothing seems to have come from that.
Wade’s future is certainly up in the air, and we’ll have to see what LSU decides to do once this court case has been concluded.
