A transfer from Cincinnati, Eason joined LSU ahead of the 2021-22 season. He started in just 4 games while Xavier Pinson was out, but managed to make the All-SEC First Team for 2022.
Eason played in 33 games, averaging 16.9 points as the team’s leading scorer, 6.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.1 blocks and 1.9 steals per game over 24.4 minutes, making him an obvious pick for SEC Sixth Man of the Year. In LSU’s final game, an NCAA Tournament loss to Iowa State, Eason scored 18 points in 19 minutes of playing time.
In his note, Eason did not address the subject of signing with an agent, but he appears to be a likely first-round pick. He is currently rated the No. 15 prospect on the ESPN 100.
