LSU QB Joe Burrow is breaking records nearly every week this season, and on Saturday night against Texas A&M, he passed Tim Couch to claim the SEC’s single-season passing record.
That’s an impressive record, as it has stood in the SEC record books for 21 years since Couch was at Kentucky.
After Burrow set the new record, Couch issued a statement congratulating Burrow, as you can see in the video below:
He owned the record for 21 years

“I hope you can cap off this record-breaking season with a national championship,” Couch says at the end. “Best of luck to you, Joe.”
Classy gesture from Couch. How long will Burrow’s new record stand?
