LSU’s hiring of Matt House as defensive coordinator got a big seal of approval right after it was announced by the program.

House was most recently the linebackers coach for the Kansas City Chiefs, part of the staff that won Super Bowl LIV. Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu, of course, is a LSU legend. Having spent the better part of the last 3 seasons with House within the franchise, the 3-time Pro Bowler had a message for Tigers fans, as you can see below:

As Brian Kelly continues to assemble his initial staff in Baton Rouge, House stands to be a major piece of the puzzle. The Tigers were ranked 10th in the conference in both yards allowed and points allowed per game in 2021.
