The LSU head coaching position has garnered plenty of interest ever since Les Miles got fired.

Many names have been bandied about for the job — including Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher. Fisher has ties to the program, and appears to be LSU’s top choice.

The trio of Matt Leinart, Joel Klatt, and Bruce Feldman discussed LSU’s options on Wednesday. While it was acknowledged that Fisher is a prime candidate, other names popping up on the radar included Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy, North Carolina head man Larry Fedora, and Colorado’s Mike MacIntyre.

Gundy would be an interesting choice. Not only has he made Oklahoma State a consistent force within the Big 12 for the past decade, but LSU hired Miles from OSU back in 2005. Gundy was Miles’s offensive coordinator before being promoted to the head coach spot.

Would the Tigers repeat this scenario for a second-straight time?
