WATCH: LSU LB Devin White comments on Tennessee’s interim coach situation

Last year, Ed Orgeron was the LSU interim coach when Les Miles was fired early in the season. He did enough the rest of the year to earn the full-time job.
However, Brady Hoke is in a different situation this year with Tennessee, having replaced coach Butch Jones on Sunday.
The Tigers will play the Vols in Knoxville this weekend, but star LSU LB Devin White isn’t ready to compare last year’s LSU situation to Tennessee’s last year. He said he mainly can’t compare Coach O’s energy to Hoke’s, as you can see in this video shared by reporter @Mike_Gegs on Twitter:
Devin White on #Tennessee having an interim head coach the same way #LSU did last year:
“Yeah, we went through it, but I don’t think they have the same interim coach we got. We got Coach O.” pic.twitter.com/p9K65EQm8c

“Yeah, we went through it, but I don’t think they have the same interim coach we got,” he said. “We got Coach O.
“That’s a guy who’s been through some great programs and has a great history about him. He brought that to us and we fed off that.”
Hoke obviously has some history at Michigan, but hasn’t been a head coach for a while now. Whether or not he lands a new job after his stint as Tennessee’s interim coach remains to be seen, but the Tigers aren’t going to make it easy.
