When the LSU Tigers take on the BYU Cougars on Saturday night in New Orleans, there may be no player more prepared than LSU QB Danny Etling.
According to OL Will Clapp, Etling is a film junkie who takes his dedication to the craft very seriously.
As you can see in the video below, Clapp details the insane amount of film Etling watches and how he doesn’t take preparing for any opponent for granted:

“It’s ridiculous,” Clapp says in the video. “You would think he’s a pro quarterback. He’s in grad school, so his classes are like once a week or something. He’s here during the day at like 7 in the morning watching film and he stays here all day. He literally runs on a pro schedule.
“That’s how Danny is. I know, if anything, he’s going to know what they’re doing.”
Clapp also says Etling doesn’t like to participate in the team’s weekly movie night, preferring to instead watch even more film of that week’s opponent.
“He’ll ask to miss the movie just to go watch more film,” he said. “He’s probably watched every single one of their games already and now he’s just going over it.”
LSU and BYU will kick off their Week 1 game on Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. Central time and it can be seen on ESPN.
