In what may have been the SEC’s most unexpected result of the 2016 season, Florida went into Death Valley with the SEC East division on the line and beat LSU by a score of 16-10 thanks to a goalline stand as time expired.

After the improbable result was final, Florida coach Jim McElwain famously said, “The way I see it, they (LSU) got what they deserved… and it could have been worse.”

Not the classiest remark by an SEC coach after a game, although many Florida natives would likely agree with the sentiment after many on the LSU side of the rivalry suggested the Gators didn’t want to play the game as originally scheduled after the threat of a hurricane resulted in a postponement of the game’s original date.

The remarks by McElwain have clearly not been forgotten by LSU, the Gators also mocked the death of the Tigers animal mascot following last season’s win, and punter Zach Von Rosenberg proved that following LSU’s 17-16 win in Gainesville Saturday.

Check out his impersonation of McElwain’s famous quotes:

One thing is for sure, while the games between these two are often not exciting, the drama surrounding them never disappoints.
